Project Description
The Kilembe Housing Estates Redevelopment Project outlines a transformative initiative to redevelop 2,347 residential units across seven (7) estates together with supporting amenities, delivering safe, resilient, and sustainable housing to support mining workforce and the local community. The estate sits on 227.96 hectares of land and this includes; Golf course, markets, schools, hospitals and community recreation centre.
The redevelopment of the Kilembe Mines Housing Estates is a multifaceted initiative with strategic importance extending beyond simple infrastructure renewal. Its objectives and design principles are calibrated to safeguard mining operational resilience, align with national development priorities, and deliver sustainable social and environmental value over the long term
