Project Description
The project aims to formalize and improve artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASM) activities in Buhweju District by introducing a centralized, environmentally responsible processing facility, technical assistance, and community-support interventions. The facility will increase recovery rates and value-addition, reduce mercury use and environmental harm, build linkages to formal markets and off takers.
