Project Description
Uganda hosts significant phosphate deposits, particularly in the Sukulu Hills (Tororo District) and other identified areas with potential for commercial exploitation. These deposits provide an opportunity for large-scale development of a phosphate mining and beneficiation plant, coupled with a fertilizer manufacturing facility that will produce Diammonium Phosphate (DAP), Triple Superphosphate (TSP), and other blended fertilizers tailored to local soil and crop needs. Sukulu phosphates, is from a rich carbonatite deposit in Tororo District aimed at producing locally-sourced, organic phosphate fertilizers. Mineral Development Agreement and offtake Agreement executed. Phase 1 of construction completed including a phosphate fertilizer plant, mineral dressing plant, and Steel plant under construction.
Project Strategic Objectives
Over 300 million tonnes of ore, which includes about 75 million tonnes of phosphorite.
